Hi, I'm Bob, the maker behind Coastal Laser.

I'm a Navy veteran, and I've been woodworking for 18 years, building bandsaw boxes and other pieces by hand in my shop in New Bern, North Carolina. In 2026 I added laser engraving to the mix, carving deep 3D textured scenes into wood and setting them in handmade frames.

You'll see a lot of herons, sea turtles, lighthouses and tall ships in my work, and that's no accident. Living in New Bern, the coast is all around me, and it finds its way into nearly everything I make.
